According to recent published data, intensification of free radical lipid peroxidation (LPO) [1-4] accompanied by formation of peroxidation products at high concentrations is considered as one of the key causes of initiation, development, and generalization of diabetes mellitus (alloxan diabetes mellitus in particular).
