Council of State Governments Passes DHC Resolution

During their annual meeting in Boston this August, the Council of State Governments Eastern Regional Conference (CSG/ERC) passed a resolution supporting district heating and cooling. The resolution notes the energy and environmental benefits of DHC systems, and urges support tor DHC to address a wide variety of energy, environmental, and economic development problems. The resolution specifically supports the DHC provisions now being considered by the Conference Committee on Energy in the U.S. Congress. In addition. the resolution encourages use of DHC in government buildings, consideration of DHC in Integrated Resource Planning, and expedited permitting for DHC systems.
