I am writing in response to your "Skills Gap" editorial that appeared in the May 2017 issue of TV Technology. I retired to a small/medium broadcasting locale in upstate New York, the same locale in which I received my college degree and in which I began my career in "broadcasting" -not the broadcasting to which you refer but the program origination side of the business-specifically the TV mobile unit business. But I also do hear about this growing spate of issues in the local TV and radio stations to which you refer.
