Executive education program faculty leaders: their 'BASIC' roles

Sports teams have captains. Companies have presidents. Theater troupes have directors. And, university-based, non-degree executive education (EE) programs have faculty leaders (FL)[1]. Although there are not perfect parallels across the aforementioned groups and their leaders, each group does have a designated individual tasked with: 1.seeing the complete picture pertaining to the group's purpose; 2.monitoring and facilitating the positive development of group morale, ideas, and capabilities; 3.serving as the point person between his/her group and other groups; and 4.having ultimate responsibility for the group's deliverables.
