Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pathogenesis: a concise narrative review

SARS-CoV-2 is the third zoonotic coronavirus. Since December 2019, it has spread through the globe and infects more than four million patients (as of May 10 th , 2020). The disease was named coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) by the World Health Organization (WHO). It involves many organs and systems in the human organism.
