RESEARCH ON THE ROLE OF ENVIRONMENTALPUBLIC MORAL EDUCATION IN THE CONSTRUCTION OFURBAN ECOLOGICAL CIVILIZATION

Affected by environmental pollution, the pro- cess of urban ecological civilization construction will be hindered. In view of the severe situation of resource shrinking, serious environmental pollution, and ecosystem degradation, it is necessary to estab- lish an ecological civilization concept of respect, obedience, protection of nature, and sustainable de- velopment. In this paper, we have carried out re- search on the role of environmental ethics education in urban ecological civilization construction for pro- moting the sustainable development of urban ecolog- ical civilization construction. In order to build the support system of environmental ethics education and the construction of urban ecological civilization, it is necessary to use the organic integration of envi- ronmental ethics education of rational ecological people and beautiful cities and the identity of legal govemnance of environmental ethics education and the construction of urban ecological civilization sys- tem. Eventually, the organic integration of environ- mental ethics education and urban ecological civili- zation construction can be realized. Environmental ethics education is the ethical basis for enhancing the consciousness of urban ecological civilization con- struction, the ethical support for improving the qual- ity of urban ecological environment, and the ethicalguarantee for improving the urban ecological civili- zation system. Based on the above three directions, we have systematically studied the role of environ- mental ethics education in the construction of urban ecological civilization, so as to promote the sustain- able development of urban ecological civiliza- tion. This research shows that environmental ethics education can enhance citizens' environmental awareness and provide a strong guarantee for the construction of urban ecological civilization.
