Montrose Environmental targets end-to-end PFAS capabilities

Montrose Environmental's ambitions to build an end-to-end testing and treatment solution for per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in water was strengthened this month with the acquisition of Vista Analytical Laboratory. NYSE-listed Montrose provides permitting, testing, and remediation services for pollutants in water, air and soil - primarily to federal government agencies and industrial companies. Since its inception in 2012, Montrose has rolled up over 50 environmental services businesses, including 17 acquisitions with the backing of Oaktree Capital between 2018 and 2020. Its growth story eventually led to a $150 million IPO on the New York Stock Exchange last July, since when its share price has doubled.
