The Enlightenment of Italian Opera to the Development of Chinese Opera

In early 1920s, under the impact of the wave of Western culture, traditional Chinese music faced unprecedented difficulties. This article combines the development history and representative repertoire of Western operas repre- sented by Italy and Chinese national operas, and puts forward insights on the development trend of Chinese national operas and how to better develop Chinese national operas in stages.
