Ziegler–Nichols Tuning Method: Understanding the PID Controller

The objective of this article is to study the speed control of a DC motor using PID controller and understand the Ziegler–Nichols (ZN) tuning method for a PID controller. PID controllers are widely used in many industries such as paper mill, cotton textile industries. PID controller also ?nds its applications in drones. The usefulness of PID lies in its general applicability.
