EVALUATION OF MINERAL AND BONE DISORDERS IN PATIENTS WHO HAVE SURVIVED FOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS ON MAINTENANCE HEMODIALYSIS IN INDIA

Introduction: Government initiatives and increasing social support have increased hemodialysis facilities in India. But there is a dearth of outcome data of patients on long-term chronic maintenance he- modialysis (MHD). Our study aims to assess the types of mineral and bone disorders (MBD) in patients who have been more than 2 years on MHD. We also aim to study the correlation of MBD with vascular calcification leading to cardiovascular events and bone fractures.
