Franco-Romanian cartographic stories. After 1990, the resumption and strengthening of Franco-Romanian scientific collaboration marked the evolution of geography in both countries, however more notably in Romania, where the field had suffered greatly under the chokehold of the Communist ideology. Through cartography and its adjacent activities, collaborations between Romanian geographers and geographers from the French-speaking world have broadened paths and have, above all, opened unexpected doors for the evolution of Geography. The article seeks to shed some light on memories, on facts, on actions and on the aftermath of these scientific enterprises which have unfolded over the past three decades and whose roots go back much further in the past.
