A Terapia Ocupacional refletida nos congressos brasileiros em 30 anos de organiza??o/Occupational Therapy reflected in Brazilian congresses in 30 years of organization

The purpose of this text was to portray the origin, paths taken in the 15 editions of the Brazilian Congress of Occupational Therapy (CBTO) and reflections of the profession. For 30 years of CBTO achievement, it is evident the growth of shared experiences and quality of organization. We revisited the themes and activities, seeking to relate the context and the professional universe, particularities and innovations in CBTO editions. Documentary sources and memory of these events were consulted, permeated by an affective element in the elaboration of this narrative. The moment of creation of the CBTO and relationship with the Brazilian Association of Occupational Therapists are differential in its organization. The main themes move between the global and the specific foundation of the profession; They are presented mainly by occupational therapists in various activities, according to the context and interests expressed by the participants and captured by the organizing committee. The CBTO consolidated itself as a showcase of scientific development and performance, reflecting the Brazilian Occupational Therapy in this period. There remain points for reflection on how we intend to deal with changes in knowledge production, professional and public policies, financing, organization and access to health systems, social protection, human rights, labor relations, themes and motivation for participation, as emerging themes. in the global scenario and which contextualize the life and occupations of human beings, are therefore significant for the profession. Perhaps to be able to point the way here, carry out new studies and intensify the dialogues in the next CBTO, will tell us the paths we chose to follow, in the knowledge, performance, dissemination and social recognition of Occupational Therapy.
