THE STATE OF KNOWLEDGE: GASES ON CHEMISTRY EDUCATION

The study of the simplest state of matter, gaseous, directs us to universal concepts of the sciences and its constitution as matter. This article presents a review on the approach of the study of gases in selected periodicals, classified according to the Qualis-Capes strata in areas of teaching. The objective of this bibliographic research was to construct the State of Knowledge on the theme, starting from 10 periodials spanning from 1980 to 2018, being categorized by content analysis. Therefore, it was selected the articles that approached the theme, in which the search was accomplished through keywords. With the data obtained from this systematic study, it was observed that, from the 20 works found, only 11 (55,0%) approached the theme. There is, predominantly, an approach of the theme in a didatic perspective for the teaching of sciences, while the others concentrate in experimental proposals. They present many proposals that approached the theme, directing them to environmental and biological aspcets, in detriment of the systematization of the knowledge on the study of gases.
