A significant portion of today’s data exists in a textualformat: web pages, news articles, financial reports,documents, spreadsheets, etc. Searching across thiscollected text knowledge requires two essentialcomponents: a) A measure to quantify what isconsidered ‘similar’, to discover documents relevant tothe users’ queries, b) A method for executing in real-timethe similarity measure across millions of documents.
