‘Ridiculous’ red tape contributing to shortageof young pharmacists

A commitment within the Programme for Government toexpand the healthcare role of the pharmacist within twoyears, has not been delivered, according to the Irish PharmacyUnion (IPU). The IPU is eagerly awaiting the commencementof negotiations with the Minister for Health so that a greaterrole for pharmacists in the implementation of Sláintecarecan be realised.
