Questo articolo si propone di esaminare il tema della traducibilità attraverso una rivalutazione della sua intrinseca relazione con la logica dialettica delle contraddizioni. Dopo un’analisi delle varie occorrenze del concetto di traduzione nel testo gramsciano, saranno trattati i vari suoi aspetti: la distinzione tra traduzione e traducibilità, la connessione tra traduzione e storia, il rapporto tra teoria e prassi. Attraverso un confronto tra la teoria della traducibilità di Benjamin e le riflessioni di Gramsci sarà portata avanti la tesi sulla storia come fondamento comune della traduzione e della dialettica. L’articolo si conclude con un approfondimento del rapporto tra la dialettica e la traduzione prendendo in considerazione la prospettiva hegeliana sulla contraddizione e sulla logica dell’universale. The aim of this contribution is to examine the subject of translatability by reassessing its intrinsic relation with the dialectical logic of contradictions. After analysing the various occurrences of the concept of translation in the text of Gramsci’s Notebooks, the article deals with its various aspects: the distinction between translation and translatability, the link between translation and history, the relation between theory and praxis. Through a comparison between the theory of translatability in Benjamin and Gramsci’s reflections the theory of history as the common basis of translation and the dialectic is posited. The article concludes by going more in depth into the relationship between the dialectic and translation by considering the Hegelian perspective on contradiction and the logic of the universal.
