The COVID-19 outbreak since December 2019 and its subsequent transformation into a pandemic had affected persons fromevery age group,and children andadolescentsare not immuneto it.[1] Although the mortality rateand severity ofCOVID-19 arerelatively lowin young people,alltheinfection controlmeasuresandpreventivestrategiesareequally important to this special population of“teenagers”likeall otherage groups. Moreover, teenagersand children areconsidered to behidden carriers ofCOVID-19 in recent Chinesestudiesconducted onCOVID-19 closecontacts.[2] Therefore, more precautions haveto betaken by this specialpopulation.
