The concept of quality is increasingly aimed at in every field of people’s lives. We all wishto buy and benefit from quality products and services. It is a desideratum and an obligation of allparties in a society. In the field of health, quality of healthcare services means improving health ofpatients and responding to the general expectations of the population regarding health. This paperspresents different approaches to healthcare services quality based on old and new models of quality,as well as the nursing process and its important part played in healthcare quality and patients’ safety.
