Energy efficiency of small waste water treatment plants in the Baltic Sea region – a comparative case study

Presented study will compare energy efficiencyindexes [1] for three exemplary waste water treatment plants (WWTP) in theBaltic Sea region. Exemplary WWTPs include Goleniów Water Treatment Plant (Location1 - Poland), R?nne -? Bornholm (Location3 - Denmark) and H??r (Location 2 – Sweden, WWTP of Lyby and Orman?s). Theirgeographical position is presented in Fig. 1. Time evolution of energyefficiency indexes and the influence of renewable energy sources on energyefficiency indexes will be analysed.
