This book is a collection of five chapters dedicated to discovering and understanding the spatial dimension of house prices, especially the spatial aspects of the Chinese interurban housing market after the introduction of market forces. The free mobility of labour and capital between cities in a market-oriented economy in contemporary China following the economic reform launched in the late 1970s shapes the spatial distribution of economic activities across cities, which in turn has profound effects on nascent urban private housing markets.
