The aim of this research to determine the aspects of critical and creative thinking in textbooks by students of the S1 Study Program Language Education, Indonesian and Regional Literature, Faculty of Letters, State University of Malang, class of 2015. The approach in this study uses a qualitative approach. The type of research used in this study is descriptive. The data used in this study are sentences, paragraphs, texts, images, and evaluation models in textbooks. The data sources used are textbooks by students of the S1 Language Education, Indonesian and Regional Literature Study Program, Faculty of Letters, Malang State University, Force of 2015. The instruments used in this study are researchers as the main instruments. Supporting instruments in this study are a table of guidelines for data collection and data analysis tables. The procedure for collecting data in this study is to use documentation techniques. Data analysis in this study used a qualitative approach. The data analysis stage in this study is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion.
