Inthisstudy,AmberliteXAD-16-Pyridylazoresorcinolcomposite(AXAD-PR)weredevelopedunderlaboratoryconditionstodetecttheremovalsandrecoveriesofU(IV)andAm(III)fromsimulatednuclearwastesbyadsorptionanddesorptionprocesses.Theeffectsofcontactingtime(5,15,25and200min),ofAXAD-PRconcentrations(5,25,50and100mg/l),oftemperatures(15,30and45°C),increasingU(IV)andAm(III)concentrations(1,5,10,15,20,30and40)andpHlevels(acidic,basicandneutralconditions)ontheremovalsandrecoveriesofU(IV)andAm(III)radionuclideswereinvestigated.ThedataobtainedshowedthatthemaximumadsorptionyieldsofU(IV)andAm(III)werefoundtobe96%and95%,respectively,after25minusing25mg/lAXAD-PRat30°CatanacidicpHof5.TheadsorptionkineticofradionuclidestoAXAD-PRisothermwasinaccordancewithLangmuir.TheAXAD-PRcanbereusedandcanbeusedagain.Theregenerationofthecompositeispossibleandcanbeattainedadesorptionefficiencyof99%using0.4MHNO3acidsolutionfrom25mg/lpreparedAXAD-PR...
