Outlines of a seismic database for diagonally reinforced concrete coupling beams

The paper presented a preliminary study on a seismic databaseof DCBs established by a literature review on the test studies ofthe beams under seismic loads and the analysis was performed. Itwas confirmed that most of test studies used concretes ofcompressive strength of less than 60MPa and applied aspectratios between 1.0 and 2.0, most of which have been conductedin Japan since 1992. The yield strength of diagonal steel in mostof the specimens was less than 600MPa. A small number of testsfocused on the application of FRC with an aim to improve seismicbehavior and construction method of DCBs.
