Army identifies advanced EW and cyber tech through Cyber Quest 2020

The Army today wrapped up Cyber Quest 2020, its annual live prototyping assessment, helping the service identify advanced cyber, electronic warfare and signal technologies and informing requirements for warfighters. The assessment started with a technology demonstration period from Sept. 9 to Sept. 21 at Ft. Gordon, GA, followed by a replicated combat operations period in the field from Sept. 21 to Sept. 24 where 16 technologies from 14 different vendors were showcased. Through Cyber Quest, the service is able to examine "solutions that are going to improve cyberspace technologies" that it can adopt based on what the require-ments are, Maj. Gen. Neil Hersey, commanding general of the Cyber Center of Excellence and Ft. Gordon, told reporters Sept. 29. The assessment was cosponsored by the Army Cyber Center of Excellence and Army Futures Command and included technologies with a Technology Readiness Level Six and Seven. Several program executive offices, including PEO Command, Control and Communi-cations-Tactical and PEO Stimulation, Training and Instrumentation, took part in Cyber Quest.
