Army 'Cyber Blitz 2018' - Truly Bringing Cyber and EW into the Combined-Arms Lexicon

Following on the heels of the US Army's successful "Cyber Quest" exercise held in June, the Army Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC), Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER), Army Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE), and Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (ICoE) held its 2018 "Cyber Blitz" training experiment from September 10-27 to exercise new concepts, capabilities and techniques in offensive cyberspace operations (OCO), defensive cyberspace operations (DCO), electronic warfare (EW) and information operations (IO). In contrast to Cyber Quest, which is aimed at assessing and evaluating new, and emerging cutting-edge technologies against associated Army requirements and capabilities to inform both development and doctrine, as well as serve as a risk-mitigation event that acquisition and capability-development proponents can leverage to validate solutions for participation in Army/Joint exercises and experiments, Cyber Blitz provides a decisive-action training environment at the Brigade Combat Team (BCT) level to achieve a basic understanding of how to best integrate and employ cyberspace electromagnetic activities, or CEMA cells into current BCT operations and what augmentations need to be made in Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), and overall Army Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P).
