Fractional modelling and simulation for single-phase PWM rectifier

Modelling and analysis of single-phase PWM rectifier are usually based on integer order calculus theory, regardless of the fractional characteristics of inductors and capacitors, which will bring a deviation with the real system. Aiming at this problem, this paper first analyses the behaviours of the fractional order capacitors and fractional order inductors. Second, the fractional order model of single-phase PWM rectifier is proposed. A new fractional order circuit for single-phase PWM rectifier is presented. Based on the theory of instantaneous power, the value of DC component, the peak-to-peak value AC component, and the time of dynamic response of the DC-side capacitor voltage are analysed. Third, the differences between integer model and fractional model for the rectifier are compared. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed modelling method is validated simulation.
