ABSTRACT Present study is designed with an aim to establish thin layer chromatographic profile of an ethnomedicinally important plant, Ipomoea quamoclit, belongs to Convolvulaceae family. Plant was collected, shade dried and mechanically made into powder. This powder was subjected to cold maceration and preliminary phytochemical screening by standard methods.
