ABSTRACT Floating drug delivery systems are designed for the poorly soluble, unstable and locally acting drugs in the G.I.T and they have low bulk density than the gastric content also they float in the stomach for a prolonged period of time. From this the designing of floating microspheres is one of the approach in delivering a dosage form to the target site in sustained controlled release fashion, to achieve good peak plasma concentration by increasing bioavailability of drug or dosage form. .
