Domestic Poultry and SARS Coronavirus, Southern China

摘要

SARS coronavirus injected intratracheally into chick-ens, turkeys, geese, ducks, and quail, or into the allantoicsac of their embryonating eggs, failed to cause disease orreplicate. This finding suggests that domestic poultry wereunlikely to have been the reservoir, or associated with dis-semination, of SARS coronavirus in the animal markets ofsouthern China
