摘要

The calculation of the absorption of electromagneticwaves in an inhomogeneous medium consisting of manyparticles relies on the effective values of the dielectricpermittivity and the magnetic permeability of the medium[1]. The subject of this paper is the effective magneticpermeability of an inhomogeneous medium consisting ofmetal particles. The response of a medium consisting ofmetal particles when exposed to a high-frequency mag-netic field is determined by the induced magnetic mo-ments associated with the excitation of eddy electric cur-rents in the particles.
