Objectives: In this research work two substrate materials GIHC and GI250 are selected and are coated with Ni20Cr sing Detonation spray process. Methods/Statistical Analysis: Surface morphology of the coating has been studied by XRD and SEM/EDAX analysis. Wear tests were performed for the coated as well as uncoated samples on Pin-On-Disc apparatus using ASTM G99 standards. Findings: The aftereffects of wear information and SEM/EDAX investigation are utilized to consider the destroy conduct of the well used examples. From the outcomes it is discovered that covered examples demonstrate less wear misfortune when contrasted with uncovered examples and the total wear misfortune for explosion shower coatings increments with the expansion in load. Application/Improvements: Coatings are alluring in electrical protection and hostile to wear applications; viz. as defensive coatings for sleeve shafts, thermo-couples coats, siphon shafts and so on.
