. Concrete and reinforced concrete structures occupy more than 60% of the constructed and newly constructed buildings and structures. However, the mechanics of destruction of inhomogeneous bodies is studied much less than in the case of homogeneous (quasi-homogeneous) materials. The complexity of the problem is due to the complexity of concrete, the influence of the properties of its constituent materials, so it is important to select criteria that could comprehensively characterize the basic parameters of concrete.It is known that the phenomena of deformation and destruction of concrete and reinforced concrete is a complex multistage process studied by structural mechanics of reinforced concrete. One of the main mechanical characteristics of structural materials, which characterizes the resistance of a material to the formation and development of cracks, is the critical intensity factor KICof stresses with normal separation. To determine the KIC, it is necessary to extract samples from the test design, which in most cases is expensive or not possible. The available experimental data on the resistance of concrete to crack propagation relate mainly to laboratory specimens.In this article, we will discuss the method of determining the power and energy characteristics of concrete on a flat surface of the structures used.
