Abstract: Image processing is one of the key technologies in virtual agriculture. In this paper, the image processing technology is combined in pakchoi virtual modeling. By extracting the contour curve, the minimum circumscribed plants and the feature of tip points of the pakchoi, a virtual two-dimensional geometric model of pakchoi was established. This modelling method is simple and the model can reflect the number of leafs, leaf relative size and the growth of plant. This study has important significance in researching the growth model of pakchoi, image feature point recognition and virtual modelling.
