Cross Interaction Between Identical Groups

摘要

Various useful relations involving Hammett`s and Br┆nsted`s coefficients are derived for cross interactions between identical groups: ヱii = ヱN + ヱL, ヱL - ヱN = 1, モii = モN + モL and モN - モL = 1. The use of these relations enable us to correctly interprete the transition state structure. Another advantage of the use of these relations is to use ヱ/ヱe for the determination of corresponding モ values instead of plotting log k vs pKlg, once ヱe values for standardizing equilibria are obtained.
