摘要

This paper studies the effect of variable viscosity on thetransient Couette flow of dusty fluid with heat transfer betweenparallel plates. The fluid is acted upon by a constant pressuregradient and an external uniform magnetic field is appliedperpendicular to the plates. The parallel plates are assumed to beporous and subjected to a uniform suction from above and injectionfrom below. The upper plate is moving with a uniform velocitywhile the lower is kept stationary. The governing nonlinearpartial differential equations are solved numerically and someimportant effects for the variable viscosity and the uniformmagnetic field on the transient flow and heat transfer of both thefluid and dust particles are indicated.
