A Study of Simple and Multiple Relationships between Morningness and Sleep Quality among Students with Addiction Potential in Shahid Chamran University

BackgroundandObjective:ThisstudyexaminedthesimpleandmultiplerelationshipsbetweenmorningnessandsleepqualityamongstudentswithaddictionpotentialinstudentsShahidChamranUniversityofAhvaz.SubjectsandMethods:OnehundredandfiftysubjectswereselectedbymultistagerandomsamplingfromthewholestudentsofShahidChamranUniversityofAhvaz.ThescalesusedforthisstudywereIranianAddictionPotentialScale(IAPS),morningnessquestioner(CSM)andsleepquality(PSQI).Themethodofthisstudywasdescriptive.Inordertoanalysisthedata,usedPiersoncorrelationandregressionanalysis.Results:Thereweresignificantsimpleandmultiplerelationshipsbetweenpredictorsandcriterionvariables.Therewassignificantcorrelationbetweenmorningnessandaddictionpotential.Inaddition,therewassignificantcorrelationbetweensleepqualityandaddictionpotential.Regressionanalysisshowedthatthereweremultiplerelationshipsbetweenmorningnessandsleepqualitywithaddictionpotential.Conclusions:Theoverallresultsshowedthatstudentswithlowmorningnessandlowsleepqualityareexposedtohigherriskofaddiction.
