Adequate keratinized tissue thickness and height enhance periodontaland implant stability. In order to correct gingival recession or augment keratinizedgingival tissue, acellular dermal matrix (ACD) grafts from human donors provide anoption for the clinician. This article reviews the material, techniques and rationalefor ACD when there is inadequate autogenous donor tissue for the treatment site orthe patient prefers a single surgical site.
