Formative assessment reform is an important toolthat can bring about a fundamental change in thetraditional education system. It is beyond question that thismeasure will set new scientific objectives in education.Given this probable advantage, formative assessment is anecessary step that will align our methods with internationalpractice. It is all the more crucial in light of theinternational character of computer science as a discipline;hence, it has substantial practical applications.Consequently, in order to meet international standards, weshould remedy the existing serious limitation in thetraditional means of assessment. With the current practiceof computer technology education, this paper will introducea reform in formative assessment and propose a softwareframework of the web-based practice teachingadministration platform for formative assessment. With acertain degree of versatility, scalability, flexibility and valueof promotion, this system has been partially adopted indepartment of computer science.
