摘要

Transmission characteristics of a dielectric grating/thin metal film/dielectric grating structure have been analyzed by the coupled-wave method. This effect has been explained by coupled wave resonance with the forming of wave nodes within thin metal film that minimizes absorption. The rule of approximate finding of grating parameters for maximum transmission has been found. Three-layer structures, dielectric with high refractive index/ thin film of metal/dielectric with high transmission, have analogous spectral characteristics. The analytical expressions for the calculation of the structure with a high transmission have been obtained.
