WepresentourstudyofhighintensityfemtosecondlaserfieldinteractionwithlargeclusterofKrandNa(contained2.103to2.107atoms).Whenlaserintensityisaboveacriticalvalue,itblowsoffallofelectronsfromtheclusterandformsanonneutralioncloud.Theirradiationoftheseclustersbytheintenselaserfieldleadstohighlyexcitationenergywhichcanbethesourceofenergeticelectrons,electronicemission,highlycharge,energeticionsandfragmentationprocess.DuringtheCoulombexplosionoftheresultinghighlyionized,hightemperaturenanoplasma,ionsacquireagaintheirenergy.Itisshownthatultrafastionsareproduced.Thegoalofourstudyistoinvestigateindetailacomparativestudyoftheexpansionandexplosionthentheionenergyofmetallicandraregasclustersirradiatedbyanintensefemtosecondlaserfield.Wehavefoundthationshaveakineticenergyupto105eVandtheCoulombpressureislittlethanthehydrodynamicpressure.TheCoulombexplosionofaclustermayprovideanewhighenergyionsource...
