Thispaperdealswithestablishingofbuildingparametersfor1.2344(H13)toolsteelprocessedusingSelectiveLaserMelting(SLM)technologywithlayerthicknessof50μm.Inthefirstpartofthework,testingmatrixofmodelsintheformofacubewithchamferededgewerebuiltundervariousbuildingparameterssuchaslaserscanningspeedandlaserpower.Resultingmodelsweresubjectedtosetoftestsincludingmeasurementofsurfaceroughness,inspectionofinnerstructurewithaidofLightOpticalMicroscopyandScanningElectronMicroscopyandevaluationofmicro-hardness.Thesetestshelpedustoevaluateaninfluenceofchangesinbuildingstrategytothepropertiesoftheresultingmodel.Inthesecondpartofthework,mechanicalpropertiesoftheH13steelwereexamined.Forthispurpose,thesetofsamplesintheformof"dogbone"wereprintedunderthreedifferentalignmentstowardsthebuildingplateandtestedonuniversaltestingmachine.Mechanicaltestingofthesamplesshouldthenrevealifthedifferentorientationandthusdifferentlayeringofthematerialsomehowinfluenceitsmechanicalproperties.Forthistypeofmaterial,theproducerprovidestheparametersforlayerthicknessof30μmonly.Thus,our50μmbuildingstrategybringsshorteningofthebuildingtimewhichisvaluableespeciallyforlargemodels.Resultsofmechanicaltestsshowslightvariationinmechanicalpropertiesforvariousalignmentofthesample...
