摘要

Heavy glass with co mposition 90TeO 2 /5Bi 2 O 3 / 5Ta 2 O 5 (TBT) in mol% based glasses have been prepared by using melt-quenching method. The optical properties and physical parameter of these glass studied with respect to densit y, . , molar volume, V m , optical packing density, Opd, refractive index, n 0 , oxygen molar volume, V 0 , electronic polarizability, . m , molar refraction, R m , metallization criterion, M (n 0 ), and third order non-linear optical susceptibility. These glass has highest value o f density . = 6.2209 gm . cm -3 ,co mpared with other glass reported . Moreover this glass has advantage optical properties such as: Opd= 72.4, V m = 30.39 cm -3 , V 0 =13.81, n 0 = 2.295 at 435.84 nm, . m = 7.08 . 3 and R m =17.84 mol -1 . cm 3 at 435.84nm. Thermal characterization of present glass investigation by using (Shimadzu DTA 50). It is found that the glass transitio n temperature, T g = 384 0 C, onset crystallization temperature, T c = 500 0 C, and melting temperature, T m = 631 0 C and anticrystallization factor, .? = ..? .(.? .? ..? .? ) .? .? . It is found that the addition of heavy oxides Ta 2 O 5 and Bi 2 O 3 incorporation to TeO 2 - based glasses leads to largest refractive index and third order nonlinear optical susceptibility were reported.
