Objective: To study the effect of NB-UVB on cytokines and endoplasmic reticulum stress inpsoriasis vulgaris lesions. Methods: Patients with psoriasis vulgaris who received NB-UVBtherapy in People’s Hospital of Beijing Daxing District between May 2014 and January 2017were selected, proper amount of skin lesion tissue was collected before treatment as well as4 weeks and 8 weeks after treatment respectively to extract the protein in it, and the proteinexpression levels of inflammatory cytokines, transcription factors and endoplasmic reticulumstress molecules in tissue protein were determined. Results: 4 weeks and 8 weeks aftertreatment, IFN-γ, IL-2, IL-17, Runx3 and RORγt expression in lesions were significantlylower than those before treatment while IL-4, IL-10, Foxp3, IRE-1α, XBP1, ATF6, CHOPand GADD34 expression were significantly higher than those before treatment; 8 weeks aftertreatment, IFN-γ, IL-2, IL-17, Runx3 and RORγt expression in lesions were significantlylower than those 4 weeks after treatment while IL-4, IL-10, Foxp3, IRE-1α, XBP1, ATF6,CHOP and GADD34 expression were significantly higher than those 4 weeks after treatment.Conclusion: NB-UVB can regulate the differentiation and maturation of CD4+ T cell subsetsTh1/Th2 and Th17/Treg as well as the apoptosis mediated by endoplasmic reticulum stress inpsoriasis vulgaris lesions.
