摘要

The purpose of conducting this research study is to explore the team performance among academic staffs in private higher education institutes in Malaysia and its association with the independent variable of emotional intelligence which comprises of four dimensions: self-emotion appraisal (SEA), others-emotion appraisal (OEA), use of emotions (UOE) and regulation of emotions (ROE). The data for this research study is collected through self-administrated questionnaire whereby it is distributed via convenient sampling method. The hypotheses were tested to determine the dissimilar variable on team performance and the relationships of every variable. Findings revealed that there were significant relationships of all the variables with team performance except use of emotions (UOE).
