摘要

The aim of this paper is the presentation of a test distribution system using shunt capacitor to reduce system loss. Four types of capacitors has been designed and installed in order to mitigate low voltage, to support the reactive power and reduce the losses to lead to voltage stability problems. Loss Reduction Index is the measured by simulating the load flow analysis on the proposed system. The system is designed such a way that can ensure the reliability and quality of the power system along with the reduction of system loss.
