Peptic ulcer is the most common cause of upper-GIbleeding (UGIB). Despite the advances in the managementof this condition, mortality remains significant, at 10%.1Hemospray (TC-325, Cook Medical, Bloomington, Ind) isa new hemostatic modality that has shown interestingresults in a variety of causes, either as monotherapy or asrescue therapy,2 apparently with the advantage of its easyapplicability, especially in difficult situations. Hemosprayconsists of a mineral powder that absorbs water whenapplied into the actively bleeding lesion, forming amechanical barrier over the bleeding site.3.
