Challenges in Determining the Employment Generated by Climate-ChangePolicies

In the existing economic crisis and the impending global catastrophic effects of the climate change renewableenergy technology provide an opportunity to harness the environmentally abundant energy sources to spur economicgrowth. This paper examines the global effects of climate change and the resulting policies to mitigate the crises. The evolutionof the climate change policies into its current form and how they have replaced employment in the conventional energysector. It analyses several models which shed a favourable light on increased spending in renewable energy sourcesand why certain industries consider it a threat to the whole economy.
