Japanese students' experience of ICT and other technology prior to university: A survey

It has been observed that many students seeminglylack information and communicationtechnology (ICT) skills when entering university. is paper looks at the experience youngJapanese people have had of using technology,in particular ICT, prior to entering university. e data was collected by means of a questionnaire(N = ) and found that students haveengaged with numerous technologies in alarge variety of situations. e aim is to informteachers, learning advisors and universities(perhaps change this to “university administrators”)of the practicalities of using ICT inclass and how to manage technology withincurricula; a variety of suggestions are made.
