The success of human race is measured by how society reduces mother and child morbidity and mortality. Introduction Women constituted the better half of the society of any human gathering. Still the story of pain relief during childbirth is full of retractions and obscure fears. This may be inherited beliefs from development of primitive human societies to full civilized existence. Modern women attained good education about sexuality and the possibility of pain relief during childbirth. Still not all women around “The globe” have the same level of care . This is reflected on the rate of mother and child mortalities during this supposedly the epic of pleasurable end product of reproduction.
