摘要

MDR sepsis in abeyance. Background: Incidence of breakthrough chemotherapy induced vomiting (CIV) varies from 30—40% in children receiving moderate (MEC) or high emetogenic chemotherapy (HEC). For breakthrough CIV, practice guide- lines do not specify precise treatment algorithms in children. Olanzapine, an atypical antipsychotic, has demonstrated effectiveness in both adult and pediatric patients but there is absence of prospective data in the latter. Objective: The present study was designed to prospectively evaluate the efficacy and safety of olanzapine as a rescue medication for breakthrough CIV in pediatric patients.
